STABLE UPDATE
Quick Update on my small share in horses :-
Sandiva - sold but was well impressed when won Group 3 in France.
Fattsotta - I reinvested 1/20th of the Sandiva income and bought a share in Fattsota that won frst time out for us at Epsom under an immense Ryan Moore front running ride.
Stand My Ground - Been off long term injured but had an op and expected back on the racecourse in next 2 weeks - hopefully the op brings about some improvement as if can run like it did first time out this year then should be winning a race.
The Codger - Also has returned from injury, ran OK at Newcastle and hopefully can win another race this season, certainly not a superstar but on an ok mark.
Vivere - Only ran once and was a promising 3rd - I am hopeful that she sould win a maiden and will be better next year, looks a nice prospect.
I have had 5 winner this year from my 5 shares (Douglas Pasha 1, Sandiva 2, Fattsotta 1 & the Codger) - a couple more wins would be a very nice year.

SANDIVA UPDATE 3
The figure we sold Sandiva for has now been quoted in the press and it was £1 million.
I still genuinely want her to be a superstar and was delighted when she absolutely hosed up at the weekend in a Group 3 in France, I think Fahey thinks she did not run her race at Royal Ascot and could still be anything. I genuinely think we may have sold a future group 1 winner, however its hard to turn down money like above even if you do only have 2.5%.
Next run sounds like Arc day in France.
I have a couple of new horses.
Vivere who was 3rd on debut at Ayr and ran an encouraging race and I think will make a decent 3 year old and I also acquired a share in Fattsota which is yet to get an entry for us.
Off to York races on Thur and have plenty ammo to take with me as had a good bet on Sandiva winning in France.

SANDIVA UPDATE 2
As some of you will have seen then Sandiva (ridden by Frankie) was 2nd in the Albany stakes at Royal Ascot (albeit well beaten, but beat 18 others) - however you probably noticed it had changed colours also.
Sandiva was sold for £1million 2 days before the race which represents some return on a horse that cost £18K. All the best to the horse and new connections, I am still convinced she could be a potential superstar and think the ground was too firm for her at Ascot.

SANDIVA UPDATE
Getting rather excited on this one now.
It cruised in (2length to 2nd and 6.5length to 3rd) to win a listed race in Naas on its 2nd start and looking like next stop is the ALbany stakes at Royal Ascot.
I have a very small share in the horse but its total purchase price was £18K and I would think it is now valued at around 25 times that.
Time to find a top hat!!!

MAY SPORTS PROFIT
Annoyingly low since I started month with £250 on my unraced horses (Sandiva) at 9-2. Gradually gave it back with last day of month the worst :(
Sandiva entered in the listed race at NAAS on Monday - will see what we have - fingers crossed!!

MY STRING - UPDATE
As many of you know then I have a very small share in a number of horses and 2013 flat season has started pretty good for me so I thought I would give you a stable tour :) - all horses are via the absolutely awesome Middleham Park Racing Syndicate.
1) The Codger - I have owned him since he was a 2 year old and he has had numerous problems culminating in his knackers been removed before he ran as a 3 year old. He ran a pretty decent race when I was at Newcastle races ove a distance that was too short for him, however when he was upped to a mile he won pretty easy and I was on pretty big at 9-2 and attended in person at Redcar races. He has been off since on the sick but is expected to return mid June on what I feel is still an OK mark (raised 7lb for win).
2) Douglas Pasha - This is a horse that runs in low quality races. He was a pretty expensive 2 year old but I recently bought a share for next to nothing as he has done very little on the course. I was fortunate to get a win with him in one of the worst races ever at Southwell and expect him to run in claimers / sellers over the next few months with a possible run at Catterick on Fri night.
3) Stand My Ground - This looks a pretty high class recruit from France that I bought a share in earlier in the year. He has had 2 runs in the UK - one very promising and then a disspoainting run when upped in class to a group race. He travels over to Longchamp to contest in a listed race tomorrow and qualifies for a big French bonus if can pick up a listed race.
4) Sandiva - Last and certainly not least I bought a share in a horse called Sandiva pretty cheap despite having guineas winners in her breeding (Footstepsinthesand and Mark of Esteem). Anyway when unraced this was getting good reports and it was mega mega impressive when winning its debut in a fillies maiden at Notts. We have since turned down a very big bid and she is currently the top rated 2 year old filly this season. Exciting times ahead and she will be upped in class before running in a listed race at Naas in early June before hopefully a trip to Royal Ascot.
4 horses, 3 whom have already won is a nice start to the flat season.

CHELTENHAM 2013
Took the Mrs and little one to Lake Windmere (snowing!!) for Cheltenham week and managed to get punting boots on each afternoon.
I managed to win every day at the festival and on the last day I had a each way Yankee and when the first 2 won at 4-1 and 14-1 I was getting rather excited, the following 2 were 2nd and 3rd and I landed about £1200 but had been looking at 5K fig plus if had another winner in there and both of them looked like winning when turning for home (both well beat in the end).
In other news I landed a nice score cast as well, had Toon to win 2 1 with Walters coring first for Stoke at 115-1 (£10 on) and also had a bet in Europe on toon to win and Cisse to score - hence 2 last min Cisse goals won me about £1500 - very sweet.
So tomorrows bet is - toon to beat Wigan and Cisse to score at 6-1 with William Hill!!
On a more serious note - if the track is dry for final qualifying and the race later then 11-8 Vettell may well be the "bet of the season".
One of my small share horses runs tomorrow - Douglas Pasha - so far wouldn't look out of place in a Findus lasagne but hoping for a better run :) !!!
Anyway a non P&L update at last - kind of!!

2012 POKER RESULTS
Has been an average year but still profitable. No real highlights except when had 3* average stack on Day 2 in Barca EPT - but reasonably happy with my play in that event as much more aggressive than previous in big tournies.
Biggest dissapointment was losing heads up for PCA seat and also the recent bad beat in the *s million's with 70 left when in a good position.
In short played 90% PLO and 10% multi's - has been more of a hobby than a money making exercise and am reasonably OK with the results. In short I would rather spend time with my little girl these days, which I got to do when played Barecelon EPT.
I made almost 10K in July which is bascially more than my profit for the year !!!
All the best if anyone still reads this pants !!
