OK simple answer to why I slow played aces and thats because there was only 1 prize - hence much more prepared to take risk to get shafted when winner takes all.
Im going to buy in direct to 6 shooter tonight for $530 and need a top 3 for a return.

Despite only the one prize, I still think you played this really well, even though you unfortunately lost the pot.
Was the plan limp, re-raise? Flop raise, then bet pot on the turn sets alarms bells ringing for me from an UTG limper. He played it poorly and hit his 6 outer, thats all there is too it. Post flop you'd struggle to play that hand any faster.
