DAMN DAMN DAMN - WAS THIS MISTAKE

Was going well in the 100 rebuy on *s and was in for 300$.

This is 2 off the button and my thought process was as per below.

DO people think i misplayed this? I am obviously working on mindest of final table than limp into cash but not sure what ICM would say here? In hinsight I am thinking should have check / folded as 800$ not to be snuffed at and difference between 9th and 54th is set out below.

Anyway my though process - when he flats I put him on a big hand 1010-QQ and AQ I think he raises with his stack size AK AA and KK. Hence flop is good for majority of his hands. I figure on flop if I bet he will flat with all his range bar AQ, and that my hand is then in trouble in a large pot if blank comes turn. By check raising i figured i probably get a bluff bet from AQ, and may well fold out 1010-QQ with check raise as I think i look really strong, my stats for this tourney alone were pretty tight especiallt c/r % but he instant snapped so read that wrong.

if impacts calculations then prizes were as below and at time of hand there was 56 or 57 left.

1st is 31K
9th (where I would be if won that hand) is 3k$
and 54th is 820$

I should add if flop went check check then my intention was to try and check down through the streets unless hit AK or flush. I just put it through stats calculator and I was fav on flop.

No mistake if you play for top prizes. The hand really plays itself for both players i think. If you have AA - KK he knows you will lead out on that flop, if you have set you never cr allin. So it's perfectly possible in his eyes you have JJ - 1010 or AK - AQ dd as you have. But still you make the right play as you never get away from the hand anyway and at least you had FE ( as you say for AQ - 1010 )and you were slight fav postflop. Ony wrong if you want to ladder up by playing defensevely, but i don't think good players do that ;-)

Looks pretty standard TBH. Agree with your analysis about AA/KK, so this is just about as good as a flop as you could of wished for.

standard IMO. You could play flop differently I guess and possibly get away on the turn. Say you raised the flop, you might get flatted(might, he still prob shovees with QQ on that board like 80%), but surely you want it in there as fav and he actually has the v top of his range. UL.
