Caribbean Poker Classic 2008

OK - need to get myself out my current rut so just done something to cheer me up a bit.

I have a 10K Euro Package to use on Littlewoods and have been debating for a while what to use it on. I was watching a program on sky about Caribbean cruises and this made my mind up for me so I have asked to use my package for the CPC this year which is a one week cruise in November from Miami around the Caribbean. This was my favourite ever poker event last year and met some great people who have blogs like Azi / Animal / Dests / TeamDobbs etc last year (all linked). Hopefully Ben and Brennan can qualify again this year - or maybe someone with a girlfriend who can accompany the wife :)

Few more details (I am thinking I should get about 4k$ cash also as package includes 2k$ plus I am due the difference between 10K EUR and 10k$.

WHAT ARE THE ODDS

Just gone out Betfair 550$ event with KK v AA to exactly the same player who i went out last weeks event to with exactly the same hand - FFS I run as bad as I possibly can. Qualified for this via sat so at least damage aint too bad.

Just qualified for the 550$ 250K on stars later so that will be my last pain for the night.

A cash in a multi is becoing desperate not 1 this month

* LATE EDIT - just manged to beat the bubble to come 170th of 1100 in *s 250K gtg for 750$ and my first cash this month in multi !!!!

minus another 2k

across sports and poker last 2 days.

Now its not all bad luck just playing shite and betting like a maniac - need to get a grip

crap calls that then hit now about £3k down on multis this month and I reckon minimum 2.5k worth I am in front when called

I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN LOADS TONIGHT

Played 5$ 10$ NL for 3 hours - must have had AA or KK about 7 or 8 times but never got into big pots with it - won only a few hundred quid which is disappointing given the starting hands I had.

Similar story in the satellite for one of the European Championship of online poker (BS VC etc) - i played 80$ sat into 800$ event and won it by a mile with monster after monster - that gets me in the 300k event next week.

The ECOOP starts this Friday with a 200$ NLHE event and I think I will play a few NL events especially the 6 pak ones. Anyone decent who qualifies or enters the 750+50 event and wants to swap a % then let me know.

Other game I was meant to play tonight was a 100 runner WSOP qualifier for a mate. I logged in waiting for table to pop up and it never did - I had assumed he had already registered but he hadn't so missed it - Doh :( - sorry

ONE OF THE WORST THINGS I SEE NIN POKER

Played the 125K Gtd on Betfair never got going went out about 70th 27 paid.

Then I seen Nibbles from betafir forum was in last 3 for a WSOP seat (1st 2 get seats) so went and watch that game.

The last hand and actions are below.

Someone raises preflop Nibbles folds and a flat call.

The guy moves all in on an all spade flop - the other player who has him covered runs the clock all the way down and types TY before calling with the nut flush.

Will be interesting to see the reception this guy gets from the other BFair players in Vegas ......
