RUNNING SICK

Just went for a challenge to get to WSOP main event £500 - £8K and started immense.

Anyway I just got KK v AK in for 2.5K$ and a very good start on this and ace flops.

I run sick at the moment resulting in me not enjoying poker at all.

END OF PLO EXPERIMENT?

I am £3k large down for the month at PLO

Lost a $2k pot tonight when got it in on flop when i thought i must be big fav. Turns out I was 60 40 fav when i ran it through calculator which was slightly less than i thought as I thought i would be 2:1 equity. However I did need to hit but had something like 20 outers although he did have top 2.

One of my biggets plo pots after i had decently grown roll at table but he was other deep stack and had me covered so another large hit.

I cant keep playing it if is going to cost me this much cash but going to suck it and see at 2 4 and 3 6 rather than 5 10 for a few weeks. Will give it up if lose £5k in Jan.

PLO EXPERIMENT GETTING VERY ANNOYING

At last started to get the hang of it and then lost 2 hands tonight - 1 when I was 95% and another when probs 80 20 for £350.

1st hand I have 22Jx on 662 flop and some gimp gets it in with JJxx and hits the 1 J FSS this is annoying !!!

At least NLHE is paying for PLO so far.

2 games for my SUnday night - the 75K on Betafir and a 200$ qualifyer to Irish open on Ipoker.

Decided to play 75K mega agreesive as table full of nits - howeverbut smy stack in record time !!

Then out Irish open within 5 hands. I raise in early possy with J8 - one called BB and 100 pot quickly becomes all in as he puts massive raise in on 887 flop - all in turn on 8872 versus his KK and river is K.

BIGGEST EVER BET RESULT

Had my biggest ever bet today.

Wont mention stake but it was on Portsmouth to Beat Bristol City at 4/5 which ended 0 0.

Start 2009 in a huge hole !!!

2009 POKER AND SPORTS AIMS

Firstly, it is so easy when you have a good year like I have to just take it for granted. What i do realise is that while I feel I played very well last year I also ran very well in the last 3 months which included my 3 big multi wins. In all these I won at least 1 50 50 that mattered at final table. My profit at NL also was pretty much exactly what I ran at +EV. Hence some of below may look conservative but I would be genuinly pleased if hit them - especially as I plan to try an few bigger buy in events.

POKER AIMS

1) Win 36K in 2009.
2) Qualify for at least 1 of WSOP / CPC / AUSSIE or EPT.
3) Play 2 or 3 GUKPT and cash in at least 1.
4) Learn PLO without making a loss in the year.
5) Give up FL if losing at any point in year.
6) Make +EV from staking.

SPORTS AIMS

1) + £1 profit and I would be happy.
2) Give up online casino.

LIFE AIMS

1) Get fit / lose 3/4 of a stone.
2) Do some exercise at least twice a week.
3) Plan to see the Northern lights in 09 / 10
4) Help someone get a shot at something they probably would not if did not help them (staking etc)
